Fixed term position, with potential to become permanent:
Minimum of 18.0 hours per week
(working days Monday, Tuesday, Friday plus support for busy days and/or events within the Civic Centre when required)

The Civic Centre, Uckfield is located in the heart of the town; situated between the High Street and beautiful green space of Luxford Field.
The Civic Centre holds seven meeting rooms which are available to hire with or without catering, an annual events programme in our Weald Hall, and Luxfords Restaurant.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation which has undertaken a number of improvements to its facilities and in the process of expanding its offer to local businesses and residents for room hire, events and activities.
We are looking for someone who is keen to make a great first impression, with both our customers and the team to ensure day to day service provision is seamless. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, you will have experience (either past or present) in a supervisory capacity, and have strong skills in written and verbal communication to be able to fully understand the customer’s requirements, and relay this to the team. You’ll oversee our day to day restaurant service and any additional catered functions or events.
Presentable, and with close attention to detail you will be well organised and able to look ahead. Successful candidates will be passionate about good customer care and be enthusiastic in putting forward ideas for new initiatives and ways to increase footfall and generate more income.
