Uckfield Town Council, at its discretion and subject to available funding, provides grants and general support to small local groups and organisations which contribute to the welfare of the community by improving or supporting facilities and/or activities in Uckfield Parish.
In 2024/25, grants totalled £22,778.62 through this scheme, in addition to funding provided via service-level agreements to Wealden Citizens Advice (£19,000) and Uckfield Volunteer Centre (£8,000).

The deadline for applications is Sunday 19 January 2025, and we will expect to receive all associated documentation with the completed application form, by this date.

In 2023/24, grants totalled £27,100 through this scheme and funding was also provided via service-level agreements to Wealden Citizens Advice (£19,000) and Uckfield Volunteer Centre (£8,000).
For the funding round for 2024/25, applications were required to be submitted by midnight on Sunday 14 January 2024.
For the 2024/25 Community Grants Programme, a total of 16 applications were received by the deadline. The Town Council’s Finance Sub-Committee made a series of recommendations on the allocation of grant funding for 2024/25 on Wednesday, 28 February 2024.
Their recommendations were reported to the General Purposes Committee on Monday 18 March 2024, where all recommendations were approved.
Members wished to thank all of the organisations attending the meeting on Wednesday, 28 February 2024 for their time, hard work and dedication to the local community. They felt everyone was a credit to the community.

In 2022/23, grants awarded by Uckfield Town Council totalled £41,333.47.
This included grant funding awarded to local voluntary and community organisations, and funding agreed through service-level agreements for Wealden Citizens Advice and Uckfield Volunteer Centre.
There were 22 applications received through the Town Council’s Community Grant Programme for the financial year 2023-24, in addition to funding already secured through service-level agreements for Uckfield Volunteer Centre and Wealden Citizens Advice.
On 22 February 2023, applicants attended a meeting of the Town Council’s Finance Sub-Committee to present their proposals, and for members of the finance sub-committee to ask questions.
Members of the Finance Sub-Committee considered the applications and provisionally set out allocations within the funding available.
The recommendations of the Finance Sub-Committee were presented to the General Purposes Committee on Monday 27 February 2023. At that time, a final decision was taken on the allocation of community grant funding for 2023-24. The confirmed award of grant funding was as follows:

There were 12 applications received through the Town Council’s Community Grant Programme for the financial year 2022-23, in addition to funding already secured through service-level agreements for Uckfield Volunteer Centre and Wealden Citizen’s Advice.
On 14 March 2022, the General Purposes Committee reviewed the recommended community grant allocations for 2022-23 put forward by the Finance Sub-Committee at their meeting on 23 February 2022.
All applicants received formal notice of the decision taken by Uckfield Town Council.
Successful applicants being awarded grant funding for 2022-23 received payments in May and October 2022 (one payment is made in May if it is a smaller amount, and two instalments are made across May and October if a larger sum has been awarded).

There were 23 applications received through the Town Council’s Community Grant Programme for the financial year 2021-22.
On 8 March 2021, the General Purposes Committee reviewed the recommended community grant allocations for 2021-22 put forward by the Finance Sub-Committee at their meeting on 15 February 2021.
The General Purposes Committee considered the application submitted by Wealden Citizens Advice and decided how to allocate the funds that were remaining.
A decision was taken and members approved the allocation of £27,500 of grant funding to local community groups and organisations, £18,900 to the Wealden Citizens Advice and £8,000 to the Uckfield Volunteer Centre.
All applicants received formal notice of the decision taken by Uckfield Town Council. Payments were made in May and October 2021.

The Finance Sub-Committee reviewed 21 applications for grant funding to Uckfield Town Council for the financial year of 2020/21. The grants were awarded to 21 local voluntary groups and organisations, as outlined below:
