Uckfield Town Council own a large number of open spaces. This includes sports pitches (football/cricket), recreation grounds, allotments, ancient woodlands, nature reserves, play areas, and a cemetery.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Town Council for us to advertise for a seasonal grounds person to support us through the spring and summer months. You will be required to help ensure our grounds are kept in a good state of repair, remain well presented and are ready for sports clubs and members of the public to safely use.
Experience of using the appropriate machinery associated with grounds maintenance such as mowers, strimmers, brushcutters etc, is preferred.
A full clean UK Driving Licence is essential as you will be required to drive Town Council owned grounds vehicles and equipment.
The role will be for 37 hours – Monday to Friday.
