The works to upgrade Luxfords play area are due to commence from Wednesday 8 July 2020.
Contractors will be using some of Luxfords Field for site storage and vehicles, with access via the gates adjacent to the car park. Vehicular movements across the field to the play area will be marshalled by a works foreman. Works are anticipated to take 8-10 weeks for the refurbishment. The play area will be fenced off for the duration of the works. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
This is a culmination of a public consultation including an online survey and open day where residents were able to view and vote on potential designs from some prospective suppliers. The results of the survey and consultation feedback were used to inform the Town Council’s decision on the upgrade of the Luxfords Play Area. The winning supplier was HAGS, a company which also updated the play areas in Hughes Way and Ridgewood Recreation Ground.
