East Sussex County Council Consultation

Proposed Waiting Restrictions for Uckfield High Street Parking Bays (Experimental Traffic Regulation Order)

On behalf of East Sussex County Council, East Sussex Highways have been looking to formalise the parking laybys and restrictions that were introduced in Uckfield High Street following completion of the highway improvement scheme a couple of years ago.  The experimental Traffic Regulation Order will allow the Authority a period of six months to determine whether the parking arrangements are successful.  Subject to successful completion of the trial, consideration will be given to continue the provision of the experimental Order, by making a permanent Order in like terms.

Read the public notice.
View the map outlining the proposals.

A copy of the experimental order, along with the plans showing the lengths of the road and a statement of the Councils reasons for making the Order, can be examined in Uckfield Library or East Sussex County Council (County Hall, Lewes)
Any person wishing to make an objection or other representation concerning this order, must do so in writing, to Communities, Economy & Transport, B Floor, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St. Anne's Crescent, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 1UE.
