Facilities Manager (Full time - permanent position)

Salary: £28,485 - £31,601
37 hours per week

Uckfield Town is located within the heart of Wealden District close to Ashdown Forest AONB, the South Downs National Park and has good transport links to London by rail and bus services between Tunbridge Wells and Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious organisation with a wide ranging asset portfolio. The Town Council has responsibility for the Civic Centre, Foresters Hall, a suite of buildings which are leased to local organisations, Snatts Road Cemetery, sports pavilions, recreation grounds, play areas and open spaces.

Reporting to the Town Clerk, you will have a proven record in facilities management and be expected to demonstrate your knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety.  You will pay close attention to detail and remain focussed on compliance; ensuring that the Town Council’s facilities are well maintained, secure, safe and cleaned to a high standard. Successful candidates will have experience of managing a small team and have excellent organisational skills to manage a varied workload.

Hospitality Manager (Full time - permanent position)

Salary: £28,485 - £31,601
37 hours per week (working days: Tuesday to Saturday)

This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation which is preparing to undertake improvements to its restaurant, expand its events programme and increase the use of marketing and communication techniques to promote room hire, events and activities within our Civic Centre.

We are looking for a professional and talented Hospitality Manager. Reporting to the Town Clerk, you will have a proven record in the hospitality industry with strengths in restaurant management, events management and/or conference and room hire. You will have proven experience of people management, pay close attention to detail and have strong organisational skills to be able to manage a varied and exciting workload. Successful candidates will be passionate about good food, good customer care and organising and hosting an annual events programme.

Marketing and Communications Assistant (Part time - 2 year fixed term contract)

Salary: £23,398 - £25,951 (pro rata)
20 hours per week

This role has been created to assist the Town Council with its external communications to local residents, partners and visitors. Uckfield Town Council has a wide ranging portfolio which includes the Civic Centre, Luxfords restaurant, Foresters Hall, a suite of buildings leased to local organisations, Snatts Road Cemetery, sports pavilions, recreation grounds, play areas and open spaces.

We are looking for a talented individual with experience of marketing and communication to help us promote our services and increase footfall. Reporting to the Town Clerk, you will demonstrate your experience of producing good written content both on and offline, have used a variety of communication channels including social media and be familiar with the development of marketing plans. Successful candidates will be self motivated, pay great attention to detail but have the creativity and flair to engage with our residents and customers.
