PART TIME - CLEANER

Salary:   £16,877 (pro rata)
10 hours per week (flexible shift pattern)

Uckfield Town Council is an ambitious organisation with a wide ranging portfolio of buildings and open spaces. A number of our buildings are hired out to individuals, community groups, sports clubs and businesses for regular bookings and events.

The Town Council is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient cleaner to work within our council buildings. The role will be responsible for cleaning various sites across the town and your duties would include dusting and cleaning, hoovering, polishing floors, keeping communal and public convenience areas clean and well-presented as well as carrying out deep cleans of areas on an ad-hoc basis.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, be self-motivated and committed to ensure high standards are maintained. You will be reliable and dedicated, and have a can-do attitude towards cleanliness, and presentation. Cleaning products and all relevant equipment will be provided for you.

You will be contracted to work 10 hours per week. Working hours are flexible in terms of start time and days.

PART TIME- CARETAKER/MAINTENANCE ROLES

Salary: (£18,065) (pro rata)
18 hours per week (flexible shift pattern)

Uckfield Town Council is an ambitious organisation with a wide ranging portfolio of buildings and open spaces. A number of our buildings are hired out to individuals, community groups, sports clubs and businesses for regular bookings and events.

Opportunities have arisen at the Town Council, for two part-time caretaker roles to support our service provision and assist with looking after our buildings. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will take great pride in ensuring our buildings are kept in good state of repair, are clean, well presented and rooms are ready for hirers.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent customer service, be self motivated but also a good team player to work as part of a team when deadlines need to be met. You will pay close attention to detail to ensure that our buildings are well maintained and secure, and have a can do attitude towards cleanliness, general maintenance and preparing our facilities.

You will be required to work flexibly, working to a rota booked in advance, with at least one weekend shift per month. A full clean UK driving licence is required and access to a vehicle (mileage allowance will be paid).
